El pr¨®ximo domingo 10 de febrero se celebra la gala de la 61? edici¨®n de los Premios Grammy, en la que la Academia Nacional de Artes y Ciencias de la Grabaci¨®n de Estados Unidos entregar¨¢ los trofeos a los mejores artistas del pasado a?o. El rap es el g¨¦nero favorito en una ceremonia en la que se espera una gran batalla entre dos de los raperos m¨¢s destacados, confirmando que la m¨²sica urbana est¨¢ ganando mucho protagonismo.

Kendrick Lamar lidera el ranking de candidaturas con ocho, seguido por Drake con siete. El primero ha sido el gran responsable del ¨¦xito de la m¨²sica de la pel¨ªcula Black Panther y ya fue uno de los m¨¢s aclamados en la pasada edici¨®n. Tanto ¨¦l como el cantante canadiense est¨¢n seguidos por Brandi Carlile con seis nominaciones. Esta ¨²ltima, cantante de folk, opta a seis galardones destacando sus grandes opciones para el ¨¢lbum del a?o, donde compite con Cardi B, Kacey Musgraves, H.E.R. o Janelle Mon¨¢e.

Continuando con el rap, Mac Miller est¨¢ nominado a mejor ¨¢lbum de su g¨¦nero. El rapero y ex de Ariana Grande muri¨® hace varios meses a causa de una sobredosis, por lo que ser¨¢n sus padres lo que recojan la gramola si su disco Swimming resulta vencedor.

Adem¨¢s, los Premios Grammy 2019 contar¨¢n con representaci¨®n espa?ola, ya que Pablo Albor¨¢n es uno de los candidatos a mejor ¨¢lbum de pop latino. Su Prometo tendr¨¢ como rivales a Claudia Crant, Natalia Lafourcade, Raquel Sof¨ªa y Carlos Vives.
