El sol y el buen tiempo y la irresponsabilidad de la poblaci¨®n en la costa sur de Inglaterra han llevado al colapso en las playas de la zona, como se ve en las im¨¢genes que acompa?an a estas l¨ªneas.

En ellas se ven a cientos de ba?istas en las playas de Bournemouth que hicieron caso omiso a las peticiones de las autoridades locales y terminaron hacinados en la arena, sin mantener ning¨²n tipo de las medidas de seguridad, incluyendo la de respetar el distanciamiento social o el uso de mascarillas.

El parlamentario de Bournemouth, Tobias Ellwood, dijo que medio mill¨®n de personas hab¨ªan acudido en masa a las playas y que la situaci¨®n era tan abrumadora que el gobierno del Reino Unido deber¨ªa intervenir: ¡°Mucha gente ha elegido ser no solo irresponsable sino peligroso. Hemos avanzado tanto en la lucha contra esta pandemia que no me gustar¨ªa que Bournemouth sea el ¨²nico lugar en Gran Breta?a con una segunda ola¡±.

Vikki Slade, la l¨ªder del BCP Council, que integra Bournemouth, Christchurch y Poole, dijo estar ¡°horrorizada¡± por las im¨¢genes: ¡°El comportamiento y las acciones irresponsables de tantas personas son simplemente impactantes y nuestros servicios se extienden hasta el l¨ªmite tratando de mantener a todos a salvo. No hemos tenido m¨¢s remedio que declarar un incidente importante e iniciar una respuesta de emergencia¡±. M¨¢s dura y contundente se mostro Slade en las redes sociales: ¡°No importa lo que hagamos, estos viles idiotas ignorar¨¢n las reglas¡±, escribi¨® en twitter.

Laura Miller, una conservadora del Consejo de Dorset, dijo que la poblaci¨®n y visitantes de la zona parecen haber olvidado que la pandemia sigue activa: ¡°Si bien el mundo contin¨²a lidiando con el coronavirus , parece que los amantes de la playa del Reino Unido han olvidado que incluso existe. Pensamos que las multitudes en Bondi Beach eran malas, pero los amantes de la playa del Reino Unido han llevado las cosas al siguiente nivel¡±.
